    Mexico 1831 1/4 Real Quarto
    A type struck 1829-37. It superseded a short lived type that weighed 14 g. This issue was accompanied by copper octavos; both were issued in an attempt to drive out the abusive minting of state and municipal coppers.
    October 2 – Texas Revolution – Battle of Gonzales: Mexican soldiers attempt to disarm the people of Gonzales, Texas but encounter stiff resistance from a hastily assembled militia.
    A historical coin during a very turbulent era between Mexico and The United States.
