I RECENTLY ACQUIRED A SMALL COLLECTION OF VINTAGE AND VERY  OLD ANTIQUE FINE & COSTUME JEWELRY AND ACCESSORIES. AMONG THEM WAS THIS INCREDIBLE FIND! IT IS AN UN-MARKED VERY LARGE BUCKLE, WEIGHS APPROXIMATELY 23.7 GRAMS AND MEASURES ABOUT 6 1/8" LONG X 1 1/4" WIDE. IT IS AN ARROW SHAPE WITH RICH BRIGHT GOLD WASH AND EDGED IN RIVETED CUT STEEL! THERE IS ALSO TINY RIVETED BEVELED EDGE TIPS ON EACH POINT. THEY ARE INTACT BUT ONE TURNS ON THE RIVET. THERE IS A 2.4mm GOLD WASHED BAR THAT RUNS THE LENGTH OF THE OPEN CENTER AND HAS A VERY SHARP THREE PRONGED PIECE FOR HOLDING THE MATERIAL. WHAT AN ELEGANT PIECE AND IN VERY NICE CONDITION. THERE ARE A FEW SPOTS WHERE THE GOLD WASH HAS DARKENED, BUT IT IS INTACT AND A STUNNING PIECE. CAN JUST IMAGINE THE FINERY THAT WAS WORN WITH THIS!!
